STRONGER WOMEN, BRIGHTER FUTURES!
Circle of Sisterhood is the national philanthropy that unites Panhellenic women at UNC Charlotte in a shared commitment to advancing education for girls and women around the world. Founded in 2010, the Circle of Sisterhood Foundation brings sorority women together to raise financial resources for organizations that are actively removing educational barriers caused by poverty and oppression. Through this collective effort, Panhellenic women help provide access to schooling, vocational training, and higher education opportunities for those who may not otherwise have the chance.
At Charlotte, this mission comes to life through the collaboration of all seven Panhellenic sororities. Together, our community hosts fundraisers, service events, and awareness initiatives that not only support global education efforts but also deepen our understanding of the challenges many girls and women face. These experiences reflect a purpose greater than any one chapter and emphasize unity across affiliation, background, and experience.
Circle of Sisterhood also highlights the broader impact sorority women have both locally and globally. Sororities have long been committed to service by supporting causes such as health initiatives, literacy, and community outreach. This philanthropy allows that impact to extend even further. In a world that is more connected than ever, Panhellenic women recognize the privilege of education and the responsibility that comes with it. With less than 7 percent of the world’s population holding college degrees and women making up the majority of illiterate adults, the need for action is clear.
By coming together as one Panhellenic community, we are able to create meaningful change and advocate for equal access to education. Circle of Sisterhood represents the belief that when women support women, opportunities expand, lives are changed, and a more equitable world becomes possible.

Circle of Sisterhood Foundation is an organization that partners with sorority women all over the nation to raise financial resources that aid in the removal of barriers to education for girls and women facing poverty and oppression. CofS allows sorority women to stand together as one community and improve the lives and outcomes of girls and women around the world. By uniting members across chapters, campuses, and affiliations, the organization creates a powerful network of women committed to making education more accessible and equitable on a global scale.
Together, CofS has impacted 31 countries, engaged with 339 campus sororities, and built 49 schools, while also supporting initiatives that provide essential resources such as books, transportation, safe learning environments, and access to basic educational tools. These efforts not only open doors for individual girls and women, but also create lasting change within entire communities by promoting literacy, independence, and opportunity.
The impact of Circle of Sisterhood is truly transformational. Whether that be on an individual life by providing the means to attend school or on an entire community through a school build, CofS continues to expand its reach and deepen its impact. Through ongoing support, advocacy, and collaboration, they remain dedicated to making a better life possible for women and girls around the world, ensuring that education becomes a reality rather than a privilege.
