Being a member of a Panhellenic sorority is a financial commitment, but your dues help make the experiences, opportunities, and community of sorority membership possible. Membership costs can go toward many things like chapter operations, national organization fees, housing and facility expenses, sisterhood events, philanthropy, leadership development, educational programming, and more. Each chapter has its own financial structure, and costs can vary depending on the organization and whether you live in chapter housing. We highly encourage you to ask questions, understand the costs associated with each chapter, and consider your personal budget throughout the recruitment process. Financial transparency is very important to us, and we desire for every potential new member to feel confident and informed about this part of sorority membership.

Each Panhellenic chapter has its own financial structure, so membership costs can vary from chapter to chapter and are subject to change from year to year. Expenses may include chapter dues, national organization fees, housing or facility costs, and other membership-related expenses. Chapters also offer different payment plans, financial assistance, and support options to help members manage the cost of membership. We encourage potential new members to ask questions about finances during recruitment and speak with individual chapters to learn more about their specific costs, payment options, and available resources. Our goal is to ensure that every member has the information and support they need to make an informed decision about sorority membership. Charlotte Panhellenic is committed to supporting our members and making sorority membership accessible to students from a variety of financial backgrounds. Throughout the year, there are a variety of scholarship opportunities available to Panhellenic women through individual chapters, national organizations, and other Greek-affiliated organizations. These scholarships may recognize academic achievement, leadership, service, financial need, and involvement within the Panhellenic community. We encourage members to explore the opportunities available, review eligibility requirements and deadlines, and apply for any scholarships for which they qualify.

PANHELLENIC SCHOLARSHIPS
Charlotte Alumnae Panhellenic Congress Scholarship - $500-$1,000
Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements: be enrolled full-time, have a minimum cumulative college GPA of 3.00, hold sophomore, junior, or senior standing, and be an initiated and active member of a sorority affiliated with the National Panhellenic Conference.
Alpha Phi Betty Mullins Jones Scholarship - $1,000
Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements: be enrolled full-time, have a minimum cumulative college GPA of 3.00, hold sophomore, junior, or senior standing, and be an initiated and active member of a sorority affiliated with the National Panhellenic Conference.
Mary Louise Roller Scholarship - $1,000
Named for Mary Louise Roller, this scholarship was funded by Alpha Omicron Pi in honor of Mrs. Roller’s 33-year tenure on Alpha Omicron Pi’s Panhellenic Delegation. The Mary Louise Roller Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship and will be awarded to an undergraduate woman who plans to attend graduate school the following fall. Each recipient shall have displayed outstanding service to her local College Panhellenic during her undergraduate years. Each College Panhellenic may nominate one candidate per year.
Carole Jurenko Jones Scholarship - $1,000
The Carole Jurenko Jones Scholarship, established by Alpha Omicron Pi, honors Carole Jones’ commitment to the National Panhellenic Conference, including serving as the 2017-19 NPC chairman. This $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually to a collegiate member in good standing of a Panhellenic organization who has served in a chapter or Panhellenic leadership role. It also may be awarded to an alumna in good standing who demonstrates Panhellenic spirit, outstanding service and leadership to her campus or community.
CHAPTER SCHOLARSHIPS
Chapter scholarships are financial awards offered directly through individual sorority chapters, alumnae groups, or a sorority’s national organization. These opportunities are specific to members of that organization and may recognize academic achievement, leadership, financial need, community involvement, specific majors or career paths, or other chapter-specific accomplishments. Unlike Panhellenic scholarships, which are available through the Charlotte Panhellenic community and may be open to eligible members across multiple Panhellenic chapters, chapter scholarships are limited to members of the organization offering the award. Each chapter has its own scholarship opportunities, eligibility requirements, application processes, and deadlines, so members are encouraged to check with their chapter and national organization to learn more about available opportunities.
